Yahoo status incorrect?

I want to know if other Adium users are seeing this same problem:

I am using Adium 1.3.10, and my friend uses the official Yahoo! IM client on Windows. She often reports that I appear to be offline. This seems to happen after my computer wakes from sleep and Adium reconnects to Yahoo! and possibly after the screen dims or the screensaver activates (during which time Adium changes my status to "away", then returns it to "available"). I will appear active to my friend again if I tell Adium to switch to invisible mode, then tell it to switch back to available.

I don't know where the problem lies with this, though. Is it Adium, Yahoo! servers, or my friend's client? I have myself on my contact list and it tells me that I'm available. I don't know if that's a good indicator or not, though.

I'd like to hear if others have had this problem.

I'm also using 1.3.10, and both my Google and Yahoo presences are visible as "Away" to my friends using Windows IM clients, even when I'm invisible. I got curious and decided to use another account in iChat and in Yahoo!IM to see for myself, and sure enough, setting myself to be "Invisible" does nothing to hide my presence.

I'm told this has been true all the way along (I've been using Adium since before v. 1 (0.84 I think it was?).

I wonder if the developers have any attention of addressing this problem?

Yea I'm having wierdness too. Actually I logged in with a different id using yahoo messenger so I can chat to myself on Adium. What I notice is that no matter what status I try to set in Adium, over on yahoo messenger the other user always sees "available" with no status label or anything. Hmmm, this sucks. I've been counting on this the whole time, no wonder people are surprised when I don't respond. Honestly, I can't use Adium with that broken, its fundamental feature.

anyone else besides me having problems with Yahoo lately? For some reason when I set my status to away or anything else, that status is not being shown to the people on the other end... Then this morning it was suddenly working ok, then tonight not working again. GRRRRR is the problem in my setup or is yahoo changing something in their protocol that Adium is not keeping up with? This is driving me crazy!!!
