Adium stealing irc:// protocol association

Post by LordMelkor »

I use Adium as my predominant chat client, however for some purposes such as IRC, it just doesn't cut it, and specialized clients such as Colloquy are simply better. Now I have been encountering this extremely irritating issue where Adium will keep associating itself with the "irc://" protocol, making it the default client that pops up when I click such a link. I can change it back to Colloquy, but it eventually reverts back to Adium (I'm not sure when it does).

Is there anyway I can prevent this behavior?

Also I've noticed the menu for default associations is not present in the non-beta version of Adium.

It's likely this is fixed for the next beta.
