"(Buddy) is typing" error

Adium 1.4b17 doesn't show the change of icon for when the person on the other end is typing. Help?

I have the same problem, but it seems to happen on MSN only and it also doesn't happen every time.
It seems to happen more often when your buddy sends messages in rapid succession which depends on typing style.
1. Some people prefer to type the whole sentence first and then send it completely.
"Hi, today I was at the mall, what did you do?"
2. Others prefer to use enter far more often:
"Hi,
today I was
at the mall
what did you do?"
It seems to happen a lot with those people that fall into the (2) category...
