Ok, most of it is quite good, but there are some things like:

Why is that sentence covering 1/3 of my screen?
There are a lot of different errors, like not using Apple's guidelines for translation. Example: Kopie instead of Kopieer.

Examples of weird preference panes:

hey bora ;)

i'm in charge of the dutch translation of Adium X :) this is the first time i see it actually implemented and working in Adium X.

the trouble is when you translate it you don't see the context the translation is in, for example that menu-picture. The translation is completely WRONG for the menu item, but normally it would have been correct. now i see it in Adium i can correct it to display the right translation.

same thing with kopie and kopieer. just point out the mistakes and i'll correct them.

please bear in mind it's a beta and FIRST quick dutch translation to dutch. it's incredibly hard to translate it correctly and have people understand what you mean.

the cut sentences are a problem though, i need to sort that one out with Evan.

anyway.. contact me on MSN or AIM.

EDIT: sent Dutch 0.2b to Evan.

Since i have sometimes the same problems with finding the right context for the German Localization, would it be possible to create a Wiki or a sticky thread where users can report localization mistakes?

How about making a full thread for your localization like for Japanese?

You're right, it should be enough to open a normal thread about it. Although a sticky might be easier to find for the users.

It's all good! Have you read Apple's guidelines on translating?
http://developer.apple.com/intl/localization/

In there is a .pdf file with the basic translations for the English OS.
Give it a try ;)

@bora, downloaded some files over at the link you gave me. will look into it tomorrow. i started to compare ichat, mail and safari to my translation and i got to see a few differneces. most are adjusted in b3, but dutch.b4 will be completely worked over to try and make things fit. i've sent screenshots to evan to have him make more string localizable.

anyway, it's comig along pretty good, but bora... talk to me online. help is always appreciated. please bear in mind that the current beta version has the OLD translation files in it :) not my own copy.

@two peak, sent you an email. reply please :)

The new Dutch localization is out, much much better!

Even so good, I'll change the topic to: Dutch Localization (bugs, etc.)
