Temporary MSN server issues, July 30th 2010

Just a heads-up for everyone:

There seem to be widespread problems connecting to MSN, official client is also affected, apparently.

Even though Windows version (of MSN itself) is connecting flawlessly?

We use adium at our studio. I have not been able to log in at all today, however, my colleague that sits next to me (also using adium) logs in fine.

I think it may only be those with Microsoft Passport login details (all those without a microsoft/msn email addresses: hotmail.x, msn.x, live.x)

I could be wrong but I don't have a hotmail account login details, my colleague does.

I have the same problem! Today i can't do the login with my MSN account on Adium! I have to wait until it will works again right?

Yeah, I also can't log-in. And, like the above poster, I am not using a Hotmail log-in (my MSN log-in is a Gmail address). I did notice yesterday that MS messed around with the Hotmail interface (integrating MSN services and a bunch of other garbage) so maybe they broke something during the overhaul.

Hopefully this gets resolved soon!

I don't have a hotmail account and occasionally have login stalls ... this evening (UK time) it happened. I go to preferences, disable the account, wait a moment and then re-enable it ... usually connects without further ado.

Hm.... Quite annoying.
Can't connect with either Adium 1.3.10 or 1.4ß18. It's clearly the server being down.

I'm experiencing a "Host is down (-1)" problem with MySpace as well though.
