Issue with Facebook account
Whenever i am logged through Adium on my Facebook account and visit the Fb website on my browser (Firefox as much as Chrome), everybody with whom I talk through Adium tells me that I am connecting and disconnecting constantly . It also happens that I suddenly disconnect on Adium (only the Fb account), then reconnect. Moreover, it happens quite often that I will receive twice or more times the same instant messages from one person (on FB account through Adium) or even the whole last conversation we've had (only what he/she told me, not what I told him/her) all at once. If I set the Facebook chat (on the browser) to keep disconnected, it disconnects me from my account through Adium.

All of the above happen mostly when I open/close Fb on my browser, but some things, for example people seeing me constantly connecting/disconnecting while on my side everything remains ok, also happens when the browser is closed.

I think that's pretty much I can give you about this, it's been a while and I was waiting to see if a new Adium update would come up with perhaps a fix for that but I realize that nobody has posted about this (hopefully, if so I am terribly sorry for double posting and you would be kind to tell me where to find the answer!)

I'm guessing that you're using the old, deprecated, method of connecting to Facebook.

The Facebook site has set-up instructions on how to connect via the official XMPP-based way with various clients (including Adium).

There was a post on the Adium blog back in July about this.
