Custom Dock Icon name flashes black

Hey, since updating to 1.4, the name of the person sending a message flashes black every 5 seconds. Before it was solid white the whole time. If I revert to the original green duck it flashes black and white constantly.

Anyway to get it to stop flashing black? I think it has something to do with the cycling of the icon. Once it's done going through it's animation it reverts to black then white then goes through the animation again.

I'm currently using 1.4 w/ Remixed iChat dock icon

Just reverted back to 1.3.10 and still had the same issues. Maybe this is a setting I'm missing. It's reallllly distracting having their user name text flash every 5 seconds.
