hey guys. my font color seems to be showing up as odd colors for people in ichat. any advice?

now that i'm on 10.3 I too would like to resubmit my query in this direction.

I'd like to send my IMs with black background and white/brightyellow text. Ala Maddox. However when I set my colors the background isn't sent. Leaving me with bright text and bright backround which is unreadable.

What sort of support does Adium have for colors? Is there an option I'm missing or is there just no ability to do what I need.
