2 things that are a MUST

I just found out about Adium yesterday
and it has REALLY blown me away!!!
I LOVE IT!!! thank you soooo much to the people
who made this happen!!
there are 2 things that id really like to see on the next update.
1----able to see myself at the top of the list (like MSN)

where i could set away/brb/busy etc... <-i know this part
has been said, but id really like to see myself at the top..
2----Inbox Icon, a place on the contact list, status bar,chat window and maybe the dock where i can see how many new emails i have and when you click it you go to your inbox.

ideas i had were, the duck in the dock holding a sign that said, "Inbox 2 New" or the duck in the status bar with just the number on his chest
anyways, this is one of the greatest little programs.
i'm off to spread the good news!

This is implemented in the 0.8 betas.

For the mail-thing, Adium shows a pop-up when you have a new email.

These are not "must" things.

Right. But one thing that I think is a "must" and is preventing me from using purely Adium is audio/video chatting. I use this feature all the time in iChat AV.

For the people that
need AV, you'll need to keep iChat around because Adium won't get those abilities until
gaim-vv really comes into its own. It'll be a while and it'll be done when it's done.

Not a problem I've run across myself. Audio/Video will be a long time, so you might as well live with reality here.
The two things mentioned at the start of the thread are not musts by any means. The features you want are not musts either. Do not try to hijack threads.

I am sorry. I did not think that my comments on "musts" were considered hijacking this thread. To get back on topic and to prevent me from annoying you further I will say:
Yes, Adium is nice.
Those two features would be useful.
