Facebook error

Is it just me being stupid and overseeing an option in the Preferences or is it a new error that sometimes occurs in 1.4.1? Since updating (don't actually remember if it was since 1.4 or 1.4.1) Adium, my Facebook contact list is going mad. Not only the unneccessary seperation into the Facebook groups AND having a Facebook group with all of them in, but also it is showing me every single person who's profile I've visited ever since Adium supports Facebook, which means that there are several hundreds of Facebook accounts in my list, that mostly I don't even know and who are all offline. And sorting the group out, e.g. putting my actual friends into the right groups and afterwards deleting the Facebook group containing the accounts I don't know, doesn't work as the invasion is back when I start up Adium the next time.
Any solutions?

PS: I'm from Germany so please excuse any typos or the use of words aren't existing in English
