The short: I'm planning to do an erase and install of Tiger, and still want Adium to be able to search my convos. Any way to export and then re-import old ones? And will Adium be Spotlightable?

~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/Logs
If html documents are spotlightable, then Adium logs are spotlightable.

No, like I meant would Adium's team work so that their logs could show up under the "Chats" category with iChat history, and launch the log viewer instead of having to read them in Safari? Although searching the HTML is fine for now.

Well Adium isn't iChat and iChat has its own format so that might block Adium's HTML logs.

Adium uses html logs. iChat uses binary (read, not editable with a text editor) logs. These are not compatible.
The Adium team has made things which allow people to import logs from iChat into Adium. You could ask the iChat team to make things to import logs from Adium into iChat

. Or you could be realistic and realize that we're not going to help with this one, you are on your own.
If you wish to continue to use Adium logs with Adium, just do what was said earlier in this thread.

With a little work it might be possible to have our logs show up under "Chats"
iChat links so well with the address book, though, that it might be more difficult to do "everything about jimmy"

I think I was misunderstood. I was not expecting Adium's logs to be imported into iChat. I was expecting the Adium devs to write an Adium plugin for Spotlight. Although I am no developer, I thought that Apple had opened Spotlight up so that files that weren't properly searched could be added, and given a category, to show up under results. So I assumed Adium's logs could be written to be classified as a chat, in the same category as iChat's. I didn't want my Adium logs imported into iChat...
But anyways, if I just move those log folders back into Application Support, will Adium find them or go nuts?
