Error while connecting to AIM

Ever since I have installed 1.4.2b1 I get an error message every time I connect to AIM (or reconnect after waking from sleep or any other event that caused disconnection).
I have not had this issue with any previous builds, beta or general release.
The error message says:

Error Changing Account Info
Error 0x0024: Unknown error.

Attached is my debug log.

Also, I know this may be off topic, but when registering for the forum, the email confirmation message shows the password in plain text, which I feel might be a security risk for some people.

We changed the way logging in to AIM works, and this means the server is a bit more picky about capitalization you use. It has to match exactly with your screenname. See also http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/12523.

This also applies to Adium in this case.

I had tried numerous combinations of capitalization. I actually logged into my ancient AOL account to see exactly how the capitalization was on the account, and I had matched it up. However, the message stopped appearing after a few days so I don’t know exactly what was happening.

as to your error while connecting to AIM,it comes from the difference of your AIM and your name on your computer.it will disappear after you remove the acc of AIM from adium. :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:
