Reversing Deny and Block Preference

Hello,

Recently a friend of mine changed his username and was requesting that I accept him in adium. Not knowing who this was and thinking it was spam attempt I hit deny and block. Now that I know it was him, no matter what I do, add him manually or whatever, I cannot get him added to my list even when he is online.

Is there anything I can do at this point to get him back in adium?

I need to get the ability to add back my friend who requested me.
