1.4.2 Facebook with Jabber

Post by Muurtegel »

Hello everyone,

I updated Adium to 1.4.2 yesterday and experience some problems with Facebook chat.
It looks as if everything is ok. Contacts appear and I can send messages.
But I don't receive any messages back. When I go onto my Facebook page trough my browser, I notice that I missed a lot of messages.

I use the Jabber method to connect Adium to my Facebook.
Everything worked perfectly before the update.

My system is a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.6.7

Is there anything else you want to know?

Thank you,
Maarten

Fore some reason it worked again today.

My friends experienced problems with Facebook chat as well, and they don't use Adium.
I think that the problem was caused by Facebook instead of Adium, just a coincidence that I just updated Adium..

Sorry for creating a topic for a facebook error..

I did find this error in the debugging window, but I guess it's not important since everything is working:

Code: Select all

That's the expected response; when 'ping' isn't supported, the 'ping isn't supported' message is considered the response.
