About Email Notifications

I have been using adium for msn for several years,
I just almost forgot to find an answer to this,
didnt know what keyword should be used to search so I decided to ask here.
Why are there two email notifications every time I log in Adium?
One is just a prompt with a confirmation button, the other one has three and one of them lets you open your mailbox (in this case hotmail).
is there a way to solve it since I have almost lived up with it and forgot about to ask about it :3
