Missing Chat Transcripts and Reindex failing

Hi all.
I am looking for some help. My chat transcripts are missing and I have tried several of the posted work arounds and am having no luck.
The short story is I have tried the following things.
1. File -> Import -> Reindex
2. Deleting the Library/Caches/Adium folder
3. Deleting the Library/Caches/.comadiumX.adiumX folder as well as the above /Adium folder
4. Copying an old Logs.index into the /Caches/Adium folder
All end up with the same thing an empty chat transcript viewer. I have all of the .xml files and directories it just seems to not read them.
The other odd thing is when I try to open one of the logs via finder using Adium as the default app. It pops the transcript viewer and the log shows there for a fraction of a second then blank again.
Any suggestions or help would be very appreciated.
