Hey guys..
Well it's a bit complicated, but I'll try to explain.
imagine an extra window style (in addition to regular window, borderless window, etc.) that hugged the side of the screen (left or right), optionally hid and popped up on mouse over, and was sized vertically to fit and height-maximum based on percentage of the screen (so you never get it going all the way to the top and bottom unless you want to).
The closest thing would be to move your dock to the side of the screen and turn on autohide.
This would add a cool way to have your contacts a mouseover away.
Let me know what you think (don't let people say "we haven't decided on this first" because it's important to develop the idea first IMHO)
