In the current version, 1.4.2 as well as the most recent beta 1.4.3b1, AIM contacts who have mobile forwarding set up for when they are offline appear as offline when they sign off, instead of mobile.
I am not sure if this is by design or if there is a way to toggle this option, but those same users appear as "mobile" when I use iChat. I have checked the view menu and "Hide Mobile Contacts" is not checked.

Has anyone else observed this behavior?
I still experience the problem in 1.4.3b2
