1.4.3 update continuously kills app

I updated to the newest version of Adium. The second I did so, I click on the icon on the dock, it asks me for my password and then after entering it, it hangs, then says 'Adium quick unexpectedly'. I've not been able to log in since the update and I have tried numerous times.

I'm running the on Lion, the most up to date version of the OS and I just don't know what to do. Can someone point me in the right direction please, or can someone bring out a fix.

I would suspect you have a mod called "iDium" installed as it has been responsible for most of the crashes reported for 1.4.3 so far.

Please post a crash log (http://trac.adium.im/wiki/ObtainingACrashReportManually).

I've dragged the app to the trash and redownloaded and reinstalled but it's still crashing :-/

I've looked at the logs and there is no log there for today's date, there are only two files in there and they are back from august. I can send you the apple error log when adium crashes if that helps?

It's the iDium mod as suspected, you need to remove it.

Hi I am experiencing something similar.

Since the new 1.4.3 update, I am no longer able to receive or send messages to my MSN contacts but am still able to do so with contacts on gmail chat. In addition to this, the application will crash after trying to send a number of test messages to my MSN contacts.

Have tried;
deleting the account and recreating it
reinstalling Adium
Installing the previous version of Adium

nothing works.

Have submitted a ticket and attached the log with it

I have seen your ticket and the issue described in it is entirely unrelated to this one.
