I searched the message board to find out why Yahoo File transfers are (still) not working and the last thing I saw was over a year ago. I don't remember it every working. I drag a file into the chat window (or onto a contact name)... and away the file goes. Complete. Problem is, on the other end... nothing. Where is it going? And is this something that will never work? If so, should Adium recognize an attempt at a file transfer and just not do it and alert the user that it won't work? Just thoughts.
Any ideas?

Re: Yahoo Transfers
I'm afraid this a known problem: http://trac.adium.im/ticket/14383 / http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/12472#comment:44.
I wouldn't recommend using Adium 1.3.3.

Re: Yahoo Transfers
Fair enough. Since this is a problem with Yahoo, wouldn't it make sense that Adoim actually block a persons ability to send files or pop up a "File Sharing does not work..." dialog instead of letting the user assume that things work?

Re: Yahoo Transfers
I think a change to make this less confusing to users would have to happen in libpurple.
Also, bear in mind, that Yahoo work in some cases (at least according to the ticket I linked to, I don't use Yahoo myself).
