Facebook Chat not behaving nicely anymore

Hi people!

I've noticed that Facebook chat isn't behaving well lately in Adium. If I have a facebook page open chats will only show up in the browser and never appear in Adium. If I close the web page and try continue the conversation in Adium this usually won't work either... whatever is said from the other part is saved as offline messages when I log back into the facebook page. Only if a chat is initiated with no facebook page open in the web browser will the chat actually appear in Adium correctly.

It may relate to the messenger app being used on my Android I have no idea, anyone else having these problems?

I am relieved that I'm not the only one!

It had been inconsistent for some time--occasionally in parity with the website. But today simply refuses to display any messages. The contacts list is accurate.

I wonder, are you logged on with more than one device? I am logged on to the Facebook chat service on IM+ on an iPad and Beejive on an iPhone. I will have to experiment to see if that is causing the problem.

yeah, facebook chat has been iffy for quite some time for me. I started a similar thread also. My guess is that it is out of the developers hands and solely facebook doing weird non standard things
