Is it me or is it Adium that is automatically leaving a group when I get initiated into a multi conversation with 2+ people?

Well, when I'm not in a group, then my friend tells me I keep leaving the group when he invites me to a multi-convo but I didn't know he invited me since I don't see a new open window when he invites - I leave the convo instantly automatically.

Is this a bug or something? I cannot seem to be able to find a solution.

I am using the latest version (1.4.4).

I have not seen this happening. Which service is this with?
