Adium 1.5: Invisible/disappeared contact list

Hello fellow Adiumers!

I have just installed (via software itself) the newest Adium 1.5, but till I restarted the app, I cannot see contact list anymore. I have tried switching list skins, restarting, clicking on "show contact list", turning app off and on, changing list visibility. I am little concerned with deleting and reinstalling Adium because I use it to have a "gadu-gadu" communicator, in which I had to write all contacts one by one by myself. And it was a lot of work. Can You guys think of some sollution?

Here I give you screenshot, You can see two windows at the top, and something beneath, the text says "kontakty" which means "contacts" and its my invisible Adium contact list

Two questions:
- are you connected with any account?
- what window style have you set (Preferences - Appearance)? Please set it to "Regular Window" for now and see if that does anything.

Yes, I am connected with one account. And for the second question, I have changed it to "regular window" and instead of nothing, the "standard grey app bar" without content appeared (what is shown on picture).



What's interesting, Adium works despite of not seeing contact list and messages pop up when someone writes me, the only issue is not visible contact list

To me, that looks like Adium is simply failing to display your contacts.

One of our developers tried to look into the issue yesterday but had trouble registering a Gadu-Gadu account. If you'd be willing to assist with that, you could contact him: http://trac.adium.im/wiki/robotive.

Hi,

After upgrading to 1.5 from 1.4, I too had this same problem, and though it isn't a complete fix; you can click, view > contact name format and try one of the other choices. I find that messing with these options seem to show your contacts in the buddy lists; it may not be the format you want them in right now, but it's a good alternative until the problem is solved.

So far, it looks like just the Alias option is the problem.
