I've had trouble with random high CPU usage for the last few versions but with 1.5 it seems worse. I'm seeing 130%+ CPU usage almost every time I start Adium and when it doesn't happen right away it usually will within the first 2 minutes or so of running.

I love Adium but for now I've had to go back to iChat.

We'd appreciate a sample for diagnosis. http://trac.adium.im/wiki/Sampling has instructions.

Some information on your usage would also be helpful such as how many and what kind of accounts you have set up, how many group chats you usually have open etc.

I finally managed to make Adium misbehave again, it happened when I sent a MSN contact a message. It maxed out at 134% CPU usage and recovered.

I have 3 AIM accounts and 1 MSN.
