It would be great to add a Feature to Adium so that Adium connects ONLY when a VPN or a specific VPN is active only.
It is a need and desire by many users.

Could that request become a reality ?

I believe we have an open ticket on network locations, but no idea if it also mentions VPN. Couldn't find it though, but you can search for it yourself.
