Hi Guys,

I work in the IT department in my company (ironic i know ) and we use Adium over Bonjour to communicate.

4 of us have just been given new iMac i5 to work with and we've all installed Adium. (We have had Adium accounts previously and communicated without problems)

However the following issue has arisen on my Mac only:

Problem: When I start an Adium chat to someone they will not receive my message for love or money, until they send me a message first and then I can reply back.
On other peoples Adium accounts in the contact list, I appear.

I installed iChat and bonjour worked there, so It must be an Adium preference.
I have deleted Adium + deleted pslit files from Prefs.
I have re-installed Adium completely and mirrored everyone's settings down to a inch, the problem is still there.

Has anyone experienced this before? Or know of any settings that can be changed so this starts working?
If you need any more information please let me know.

Come'on people this problem is scattered all over the forum, yet now one has a fix for this?

I had not come across a report of this problem before you posted here. I saw you found another thread describing the same issue. Unfortunately, I cannot think of a solution. Maybe somebody else knows...
