Adium won't save privacy settings?

Sorry if this is old news but all my web searching has only returned old discussions from several years and several versions ago ...

Not very happy with Mountain Lion Messages so been switching over to Adium ... I noticed tonight though that it won't seem to save my Privacy Settings. I usually leave them on "Allow only contacts on my contact list" but every time I bring up the Privacy Settings window it's flipped to "Allow anyone." (As a result, I don't know if it's even changing the settings when I close that window, or if it resets each time I open that window.)

I tried deleting the ~/Library/Preferences/com.adiumX.adiumX.plist file a few times, but that didn't help.

I'm running Adium 1.5.2 on the newly-released Mountain Lion; I have AIM, MSN, YIM, and Gtalk accounts connected thru Adium. I'm running on a 2.26 Core 2 Duo 13" Macbook Pro, although a quick glance seems to show that my 27" i7 iMac is having the same problem.

Thanks for your help, if anyone has a suggestion!

Quite the same for me...
- the Yahoo account don't save the privacy... resulting in received spams on this from unknown contacts :(
- while the MSN account saves it (with no spam problem)
OSX 10.6.8 - Adium 1.5.3

So is there a fix for this or what? Since It will not save my privacy setting, I am seemly and anyone using this app will be open to spam, hackers of email.. ETC. If it isn't fixed soon I may not keep it for very long.

As mentioned above, no.

The security feature would not help you against hackers, no matter if it was working or not.
