Why is the Adium drive staying on my desktop??

Post by villamova »

I just installed the latest version... nice work!

However, I can't get the drive off my desktop once it's installed! AHH! I like to keep my desktop nice and clean looking... nothing on there but my iPod. So... what do I do?

Or quitting and relaunching the Finder?

I'm having the same problem actually. I tried copying it to my applications folder and then ejecting the drive icon, but it pops up every time I open Adium.

Given that I'm new to macs, could someone please explain in pedantic detail how I can fix this?

Thanks so much!

are you running adium from the disk image(make sure you draged it to apps and your running it from there)
have you tried deleting the original .dmg then ejecting the disk image?

Youøll have to drag the duck into you harddisk. And then click on the duck (the one you just draged into you harddisk). Then it sould work nice and easy(:

Thanks -- it works fine now. I thought I had done all that before, but I guess not.
