New Status Settings and Alerts

When I had Adium .77, I always set it to mute and not display notifications while away. Now, apparently, in .80, the only way to mute while away is to show the status window while away, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to NOT display notifications (via Growl) while away. Can you either explain how these features work, or implement them? Thanks!

You are correct, these do not exist. You can only mute while away with the window open.
What you can do for now, however, is create multiple Event sets, and when going away, switch between the two. Slightly inconvenient, I know, but a solution none-the-less.

I think the original intent behind event sets was to let you tie them to certain states. Although I don't know if the UI is there for it.

Not yet, but that was/is the long term plan, last I heard.
