Message background

I decided to use a picture for my custom background, but now I don't want it there anymore. Although I can change pictures, I can't remove the picture entirely. I want to use iChadium, but with a plain colour background. How do I do this? I'm having this problem with a couple of the other message backgrounds as well, not just iChadium.

Try moving ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/WebKit Custom Backgrounds.plist
out of that folder. If that doesn't work, try WebKit Message Display.plist

Or you can use my workaround, which is to create a file in whatever paint program you have of the background color you desire, save it, then select it from the menu instead.

Well, heh. My method actually means no background whatsoever… heh.

Click the picture and press delete?

That worked, thanks!

Unfortunately, it still looks crappy to use iChadium with a background colour, since the chat bubble is contained in a white rectangle, which you don't see until you change the background colour. Oh well...

In the future, do it Adam's way. It might seem painfully obvious after thinking about it, but that's how any picture box like that works in OS X. Just highlight it, and hit delete.
