I used to be on Panther but that didn't work either.

Now I'm on Tiger, umm, if that wasn't obvious. :P

I'm having the same issues on 10.3.9. Growl is at 0.6.2, Adium is 0.81. It registers with Growl, and I've talked to the Growl people on IRC to make sure everything was set correctly. It just seems Adium isn't sending notifications to Growl like it should.

Any dev care to weigh in? What seems to be happening/not happening?

I just wanted to add my comment!
My adium settings seem to be ok and the growl settings are ok too! I got the message that say "adium registered" but there's no growldisplay !
I tried to trash adium pref but it didn't work, i removed adium from the growl list and the re-registered adium but it doesn't work.

I'm using growl 0.7 with adium 0.9 svn on Mac OS X .4.1

Thanks in advance :)

Same here

I'm using Growl 0.7 and Adium X 0.81 on OS X 10.4.1... Growl seems to not want to do anything. Any suggestions?

Hi - just thought I'd put in my two cents.

My problem's pretty much the same as most people on here - Growl 'sees' Adium in System Preferences, and Adium is set up to display Growl notifications, but never does so.

I'm using OS X 10.3.9, Adium 0.8.1, and I forget which version it is, but I presume it's the latest version of Growl (downloaded last week).

You're welcome :) It was a fun little bug.. if you used Adium 0.7x, and the last time you used it you were away, and your Event Bezel wasn't set to show notifications while away, growl wouldn't work. Cute, eh?

Nope... still can't get Growl to work with Adium.

Am using the latest versions of Growl and Adium (both downloaded today) on Mac OS X 10.4.3. Adium appears in the growl pref pane, and Adium's set up to display a Growl notification, but nothing ever happens.

If any of you lovely people have any ideas?

Show us a screen shot of your adium event preferences, with the correlating entry expanded.

Is Growl running?

Haha, yes it is running; it's set to start at login. Here are a couple more screenshots of my Growl preferences. I can't figure it out for the life of me. Then again, I'm not very good at this sort of thing!

Can you setup a growl item for message received and then send a couple of messages to folks?

No, nothing happens. Have tried deleting the preferences file, but still nothing happens.

But you are getting growl notifications from the other apps you have listed?

I never noticed that... but no, I get nothing from Acquisition, Skype or Newsfire either.
