Hello,
I have been having this msn bug for a few days, i cannot change my alias... (I connect to msn with adium 8.0, but it was the same with the previous one) whenever I want to do so, I get a popup telling me "MSN Error: Invalid Friendly Name". Then, when I talk to people, I get to see the alias I just chose, but they still see the alias I had a week ago...
Does anyone has the same problem ? What can I do about it ?

Well you could try a different screen name.....

edit:can you show us the SN you're trying to use also?

Hello,

sorry, as it was a MSN, and not an Adium issue, I thought it wasn't meant to be in the Adium forum...

my alias is "jøølz {c'est les vacances !!!}". I just tried to change it to see if the special characters were the problem, but I was using them long before getting this message so I didn't think so, and surprise surprise, after updating to Adium 0.81, everything is ok ! so maybe it WAS Adium after all…
