With many business moving to Office 365 the use of Skype for Business is becoming very common. My company has recently made such move. With this move my interest in Skype protocol support in Adium is very high. I do see there is an API based skype plugin for Adium, but that is limited at this time. It requires skype to be running. Also Microsoft has announced they will be retiring that API in the near future thus breaking this plugin. Since the Skype protocol is closed source it will require a huge investment into reverse engineering it.
I see the old protocol was reverse engineered before Microsoft acquired Skype and changed it. However I do see an active Github account that has successfully reverse engineered the UDP packet exchange for Skype. This gutHub can be located at https://github.com/matthiasbock/OpenSky ... UDP-Format.
IS there anyone out there actively working on reverse engineering the Skype protocol to be included into libpurple?
