Custom Contact List.

Okay so I recently and unexpectedly got my hard drive replace and lost all my stuff - including Adium settings. Now I had Adium set up so that my contact list had a picture on the background. I didn't download from Extras to do it. I put it in there myself. I'm pretty sure I did it by the appearances menu>> contact list and used the standard Aqualicious but used the customize button to add my own background picture in - so it used the aqualicious set up just with my own picture. However, now when I try to choose the customize button no other windows pop up and nothing happens.. it just sits.. Please help. I'm about ready to cry. I've lost everything anyway and sometimes you just want the little things back in order when that happens. Help me figure out how to fix this.. I just want to be able to use a custom picture in behind my contact list.. that's all surely not too much to ask since I was doing it before. If I choose add new theme it doesn't add it even when I name it so I can't choose that from the list and nothing I click will allow me to make the "customize" box do anything. Someone help? This can't be that hard..

In case anyone wants to know.. I think there's a small bug with the current Adium 10.5.4 that's the problem. I downloaded 10.5 (minus the 4) from Old Apps and it fixed it.

I have this problem too. Adium version 1.5.10.4, and OS X 10.13.3. The weird thing is, I only have this problem on *one* of my two computers (both have the same version of Adium, both running some iteration of High Sierra). The computer with the issue is basically brand new -- it's the 15-inch Mid 2015 MacBook Pro, and I've had it for about two weeks, which is hardly enough time to do anything crazy enough to break my programs.

I don't know if this helps or complicates things (and I should therefore make a new thread), but: another problem that I have with Adium on *only* my newer computer is that using transparent background colors for messages does not work. You can set a transparent color as the background color, but it shows as opaque. However, the contacts window can still be shown as transparent (if I choose that option).

It seems the part of the Adium website in which one searches for and downloads previous versions is down. I presume this is the same place where one would report bugs?

Can confirm: downgrading to Adium 1.5.10 fixes all of my problems. Thank goodness the internet still had a copy of it somewhere.
