I've been able to reproduce this fairly consistently. Let me know if there's any other detail I can provide. I'm not using the SIPE plugin, to my knowledge. This is on a fresh OS install using GChat with an application specific password from 2-factor authentication.

I've been able to reproduce the issue on two separate machines.

Can you open two windows (from the contact list) and then close the first one and see if it crashes? I'm wondering if it is a timing issue with creating/destroying a toolbar item..

Unfortunately, still a crash -- when my adium opens it opens a lot of windows by default that were already open when it closed. Clicking close on any one of them crashes the app. Same if I open one or more windows from the contact list, clicking any of them crashes the app.

Based on the crash logs posted, it looks like there is something with one of the toolbar items..

Thanks for the detailed bug reports, people, and the for looking into the issue, shaosean. If someone were to provide a patch, I'd do my utmost to get it rolled into a release.

Oh! OSX beta, not Adium beta. Got it. Ok, thanks!
Re: [1.5.10.4] Crash on window close (High Sierra 10.13)
It seems that I fixed mine by turning off 'Hide Toolbar' from View menu.

Turning the toolbar back on worked for me too.
