Mac, no settings changed on Adium. Been using for years.
All the sudden it can't connect. Just get synchronization stuck at 25%. Occasionally get "error, connection lost with the server."
Tried deleting and re-installing account, same results.
Tried uninstalling Adium and starting over. No luck.
Is Adium just dead?
Read another post that says the servers may be insecure now?
Please help.

You probably read about an issue with Adium's website. But Adium doesn't connect to its own website (except perhaps to check for updates) so I don't see how this has anything to do with the issue you describe – not being able connect to whatever chat service you are using.MacTalk wrote:Read another post that says the servers may be insecure now?

Yes, it's with GoogleTalk but we also tried a Jabber account. Same thing where it stays stuck at sync 25% or says the account isn't authorized. Every once in a while it will connect and work, but when you restart the app it won't.
It's not the firewall on the computer because whether we fully allow Admium or cut the firewall totally off it still doesn't work.
Is it possible a router could be blocking that port or something?
