My organization is predominantly using a XMPP client compatible with Windows. I want to continue using Adium for OSx but was informed that Adium does not verify server identity and therefore not secure enough. Anyone know if this is true?
Is Adium still being supported and developed?
Adium Still Supported
Re: Adium Still Supported
Hi spinster, no programming work has been done in a good while.
Parts our of the website broke in 2017 and some contributors are working to fix things.

Re: Adium Still Supported
It's a pity - I loved Adium. But the death knell was sounded when MSN Messenger and Facebook Messenger both packed their bags and said goodbye to the circus. Yahoo! too.

Yeah! Me, too. I still love Adium. But I think even open source project should do 3/10 business for its living. Also for commercial products, it requires to keep 3/10 free usage (like for education or other purposes), then the project could keep longer -- it is a theorem in my mind.
