In such scenario:
- tabbed mode with 10 conversations (tabs) open
- I talk with someone on tab nr 1
- switch to other apps and do other job
- someone writes to me on tab nr 2
- I go to adium
What happens:
- adium switches me automatically to tab nr 2 because there was latest message there (so damn annoying)
What I'm looking for:
- stay on tab nr 1 and don't automatically switch anything. I'll do that manually.
Does anyone have idea where in the source code such automatic switching is being handled? (so I could disable it and rebuild)
in tab mode switches to conversation with latest message instead of staying on my last active conversation
Re: in tab mode switches to conversation with latest message instead of staying on my last active conversation
If "- I go to adium" means you click on the dock icon, yes, that will send you to a chat with a previously unread message. If you don't want that, then switch to Adium using the app switching shortcut Command + Tab (https://www.macworld.com/article/341155 ... tcuts.html).
Re: in tab mode switches to conversation with latest message instead of staying on my last active conversation
I want to hack the adium code to don't do that regardless of what method of switching I use :-)
Just didn't find where switching takes place in the source code so far (but still looking).

Okay, of course you can do that. Good luck!
