Hey there. I’m James. I live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Yes, during this CoVid-19 outbreak, there’s still 2 feet of snow on the ground.

I’m a total NOOB, and the local commercial tech-support business won’t/can’t help me out with my problem getting Adium to work. I’ve got a familiar problem - I want to take a batch of Chat Messages that won’t play nicely with anyone else and merge them into a neat and tidy PDF. There’s a YouTube video that shows a helpful chap doing exactly what I want to do, but I can’t get Adium to work, and I have NO IDEA about how to configure initial set up. (Yes, there are people who don’t pay too much attention to all the check boxes and cryptic shorthand in the form fields. I’m one of them. I’m one of “those people.”) I’ve tried to PAY someone to help me with my problem, but I guess people don’t really need the money badly enough to give it a try. I’ve even reached out to my school district’s Tech guys, who I’ve known for years, but they won’t look at my personal computer at all. Well, good for them. But I’m stuck trying to swim in the deep end and I’m not good at this. Anyone care to try and help? Thanks in advance.

I can't help you out but I hope someone can. Remember, Adium is basically a dead project, with the last blog entry several years ago. Pity. At the height of its success it was a beast.

Thanks, Simba for a reply. First one in 670 views. I don’t know what Adium did, aside from take my ichat message cards/transcript thingies and put them into PDF. That’s all I need. It won’t load them up. At all. After several attempts...and I’m not a computer guy. What gets me though, is that while Adium may be a dead unsupported program, there must still be need of taking those persnickety ichat card/thingies and making order out of them. Adobe Acrobat Pro won’t cause them to play nice. I’ve got 300+ ichat “cards” and no way to make them into a neat formatted PDF.
