I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere.
In .77, when I'd press cmd-Y to bring up the Away Message editor I could type in (or choose) my away message and press Enter to set it (not the return key, the Enter key). Now when I press cmd-Y to bring up Custom Status, pressing Enter simply does what it would do in a text editor-moves to the next line of text. I'd like to have Enter press the default button (OK) to set the status message.
This is the same convention I follow w/ my IMs: Return to move to next line and Enter to send IM.
Enter key to set Away msg
Enter key to set Away msg

I think she was referring to the numeric pad enter rather than the return key on the main keyboard. On Macs there's a difference between return and enter, though most programs these days treat them as the same key.OmniGeno wrote:I believe that's what she said. In which case for clarity I should have said Cmd+Return. In fact, I'll edit my post so others won't be confused.
And this is what I was referring to in the first place. I like using Enter to set away and Return to move to next line.nanovivid wrote:I think she was referring to the numeric pad enter rather than the return key on the main keyboard. I also said I like to use Enter to send IMs and Return to move to next line in case I want to IM someone a list.
