Enter key to set Away msg

I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere.

In .77, when I'd press cmd-Y to bring up the Away Message editor I could type in (or choose) my away message and press Enter to set it (not the return key, the Enter key). Now when I press cmd-Y to bring up Custom Status, pressing Enter simply does what it would do in a text editor-moves to the next line of text. I'd like to have Enter press the default button (OK) to set the status message.

This is the same convention I follow w/ my IMs: Return to move to next line and Enter to send IM.

The enter key next to the apple key seems to work just fine for this. :)

Indeed it does, Mystery Girl. I guess I'll have to get used to pressing this extra key... but it works. Thanks.

Cmd+Return works as well.

[Edit: Changed "Enter" to "Return" for maxiumum clarity.]

I believe that's what she said. At least, that's what I took it to mean.

I think she was referring to the numeric pad enter rather than the return key on the main keyboard. On Macs there's a difference between return and enter, though most programs these days treat them as the same key.

In which case for clarity I should have said Cmd+Return. In fact, I'll edit my post so others won't be confused.

And this is what I was referring to in the first place. I like using Enter to set away and Return to move to next line.

I also said I like to use Enter to send IMs and Return to move to next line in case I want to IM someone a list.
