Group incoming messages

Post by Hertog »

I just upgraded to version 0.80, and have a small problem. In the old version, there was an option to group incoming messages. I unchecked this option, so that every time a contact sends me a message, their user icon is on front of it - even for subsequent messages. But in the new version, I can't find it. Is this option gone, or did I overlook it? Thanks for any reply

i believe the feature was removed and the decision whether or not to group messages handed over to the duties of the message view creator.

thus if you're using an older message view, it may not be updated to properly combine messages. if that's the case, your recourse is to bug the original creator of the message view, or go in and do some plist hacking yourself. (sorry i don't know the details of what needs to be changed. i think it's just one key and string pair. perhaps someone else could chime in here...)

Make a boolean key, DisableCombineConsecutive and set it to "true"
