Setting incoming font colour...

Is there a way to do this? I've found the outgoing, that works fine, problem is that my message windo's background is a tiled line drawing in blue, and its hard to see blue or black text, so I want to change the incoming colour to get better visibility.

As far as I know it's up to the message style's artist.

I've searched the forums for this problem, and it seems people aren't explaining it right.
A theme can set the font, size and color of both outgoing and incoming text, and now Adium 0,8 displays the theme preview correctly (it didn't in some betas). You can choose to ignore incoming text formatting and make it fit the theme, but you can't choose to ignore outgoing text formatting. That is, you can change the formatting of outgoing text in the Text window.
But if I want the theme to display all text in white, say on a black background, I need to send white text to the people I chat with.
There should be a way in Adium to send unformatted text and have it display correctly in the theme.

Drat, as I've known other clients to allow you to alter incoming text as you desire, overriding it to get the fonts, sizes and coulours you desire. Oh well, perhaps in a new version.

Gah! I misread your post. Sorry.
I don't know what the default is, but incoming text is either formatted by the theme, if you deselect 'Show received message fonts' and 'Show received message colors' or by the sender of the incoming text, if these are selected.
As for the problem with outgoing text display, I wonder if I should resubmit that as a new topic?
