I've searched the forums for this problem; and people seem to see it, but they aren't explaining it right.
A theme can set the font, size and color of both outgoing and incoming text, and now Adium 0,8 displays the theme preview correctly (it didn't in some betas). You can choose to ignore incoming text formatting and make it fit the theme, but you can't choose to ignore outgoing text formatting for the chat window. You can change the formatting of outgoing text with command+T, but that gets sent.
But if I want the theme to display all text in white, say on a black background, I need to send white text to the people I chat with.
There should be a way in Adium to send unformatted text and have it display correctly in the theme.
Can anyone get the Metal Gear Solid theme for example to work?
