A question about status icons...

OK, so I have a question about status icons since I'm now trying to make my own set.

Where does Adium place the "anchor' for the status icons? For example, a lot of the icon packs copy the same icon for the tabs in the message window and the icons in the buddy list. However, it seems that when that is done, icons that sit in the buddy list at the correct height (in the middle of the designated buddy area in terms of height) sit low in the message tabs. Or ones that sit correctly in the message tabs sit high in the buddy list (and consequently the away status window that was just readded. So I know the buddy icon size, but I'm trying to figure out if, for example, I want to raise the height of an icon, if I should be removing pixels from the top or adding pixels to the bottom (I would think it would be the latter).

Thanks guys!

I always use 13x13 and scale them down if larger for tabs.

I think Adium centres the icons vertically, but I'm not sure. Trial and error is probably your friend here.

Yeah, shaving pixels off the top did the trick. Thanks.
