Adium Help and Update

Hi, I have question: does Adium have any sort of Help apart from its FAQ? coz i find difficulties t do some of these things:

Direct Connect :Being worked on
what's direct connect?

Mobile device stuff : In .8
what is it? where can I find this feature

Disabling groups: what is it?

Change Status Icons: In .8
What is it and how to find it?

oh ya, there's also problem: 2 days ago I checked Adium website and click refresh refresh refresh (using safari) but it still said 0.80 available. however today Adium update checker told me my copy is 3 days old. how could it happen? Is it a problem with my internet or safari or adium site?

Did you try goin to empty the safri cache? Go to the Safari menu and select Empty Cache. Than try going to adiumx.com again.

but then again, do I have to do that everyday which makes me lose all the other caches as well I would mind emptying my safari cache
how about Adium itself? I mean, everytime I got update notification it's always 3 days old.

The cashe is just preloaded pages. It speeds up the loading of pages you have visited in the past. You don't loose any history, password storage, cookies or anything. To get rid of that stuff you click on reset safari. It's not that big a deal. You shouldn't run into this problem very often, but octagonally you do. That's why the function is their.

direct connect: allows sending images, and a few other things. I'm sure google can turn up a better description, since it's a standard AIM feature and has been for years.

mobile device stuff: do you have any contacts on cell phones? If you, you're already using this.

disabling groups: makes groups not show up in the contact list

changing status icons: changes the icons that indicate status (such as away, available, etc...). You can find it in Adium's preferences

I believe you can hold down the command or alt button while pressing the refresh button, so it refreshes the cache for that site only.
