I don't know but I think I've read somewhere that there won't be any customizable Menubar icons to keep the Adium brand, is that correct?

If this is the case I have one request, would it be possible to make the eyes reflect away/available status by making them glow green/red?
Since I auto-hide my dock I'd like an easy way to see my status.

You can, however, find some replacement for it that are non-duck. It does involve a manual install though. I don't happen to have a link, but searching in some of the threads will reveal at the very least an iChat clone for the menu item.

The icons are relatively easy to replace. We're not artists, so if somebody with the skills wants to make a replacement icon that we like it would be more than appreciated

What do the red eyes represent? I just saw them and then they were gone again and I cannot seem to reproduce this.
I was also going to make a new icon set but then I realized that you can only set the menu bar states to offline, online and the one above, which I have no clue what it does. The possibility to show status in the menu bar, even if I'd have to put the icons there alone, would be nice but I understand if the devs don't won't to fiddle with this and add this.

This may be a stupid question, but how do I get the menu bar icon...It's never been there..

In the general prefs there is a checkbox at the very bottom.
