Gradiented Colors on the Status of Color themes

Ok my request is kind of complicated... I know that in an old version like v.67 i had a color theme that had gradiented status bubbles. Ok maybe that doesn't make so much sense... let me elaborate... ok I use a modified version of stoplight with small bubbles so that my list kind of looks like red blue and green. Inside of my contact list -> color theme -> groups you are allowed to set the background color for groups to go from one color to another... thus giving you a somewhat gradiented look... (not sure if i'm using the right vocabulary), but in other words it goes from one color to another so it looks a little more 3d-ish. It doesn't allow you to do this for your regular status background colors so it doesn't look as cool. I think you should allow regular background colors to go from one color to another... Do you guys understand what i'm saying, if you need me to explain better than please say.

ok maybe this will help a little bit... heres a picture of my contact list.
Notice that the groups (Union, people i met through.., cruise, buds) all have a background color that changes slightly (gradiented i think is the term?) while my contacts all just have solid 1-color backgrounds... I want to be able to have it so that my contacts have gradiented backgrounds too. Looks sooo much cooler.

Here's a link to the screen in the contact list customization that allows you to make your contact groups gradiented... This should make it more clear what i'm talking about... I want to be able to do that thingy to all of my status options so the bg's to all my contacts can be multi-colored too...

you mean like going to list layout->customize->bubbles->draw contact bubbles with a gradient?

yes thats exactly what i meant... thank you sooooo much.

Except you still can't pick from which color to which color to gradient too... although it does look a lot better this way...

Isn't it in Preferences -> Appearance -> Color Theme -> Customize -> Groups -> Background?

That will give you a gradient for the groups category heading, but not the individual contact which, I think, is what batkinz is looking for.

Gradients on a per-contact basis required a ridiculous amount of computing power, I believe. A true developer can correct me on this if I'm wrong.

Ya, it's kinda slow. Never caused me any problems, but I'm on a 1GHz powerbook, so ymmv.
