Adium .8, putting the computer to sleep

Post by Guest »

i dont know if this is because of tiger or because of adium. But, ever since i have upgraded to .8, when i put my monitor down on my powerbook, it takes a long time to go to sleep. Usually right after i put the lid down, there is the sign off sound from adium.. thats about all i have to go on.. i was wondering if anyone else has had troubles with this.

yes! I have exactly the same problem with my iBook, and I'm not sure whether it's tiger or .8.

The .8 betas worked great with Panther, though...so I'm leading towards Tiger being at fault. It's really annoying.

I have this fixed (along with a bug preventing re-connect after waking) locally :)

...waiting on the SVN/trac server to not be dead

Great news, I also had the bug that was preventing Adium from reconnecting, so thats more good news.

Woah, thanks for fixing this!

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person having the problem :)

i am looking forward to this fix. it took me a few days of troubleshooting to figure out it was adium that was causing this problem!! doh!

where will we be able to find this fix once it is available? will somebody post in this thread to let us know? i am a n00b on these boards...sorry.

I'm assuming he'll throw it on svn, and would be available with .8nextversion

Yup, the changes are waiting in the .82 source. The new code doesn't work with 10.2 so I had to do some trickery to get it ported back, but it should work okay :)
