Post by asdfg »

Hey guys, is there a way (for example a script or a plugin) that makes "invisible" user visible?

thanks

I hope not. Woulden't that defeat the purpose? If you can be seen when invisible, than why have an invisible mode?

Hm, I know this feature from Trillian and Miranda on the PC. There were some tools a long time ago, that were able to do this for the Mac, too. But they are no more working.
I'd love to have a feature like this on the Mac, too, because there are no more possibilities on the Mac to see invisible people. I think, it would be possible to contact the developers of Miranda or Trillian to get information on how it is done with the ICQ protocol.
It's a very good feature, to see if someone does'nt like you. I know some people, which love to go "offline" when they get asked something that means work for them. I'd love to know, if they are really offline or just invisible.
Anybody else interested in this feature?

Probably it would be enough, if it will be developed as some kind of Xtra, so that only users who are desperate to use this feature will install it.
I'm not sure, how it is implemented in Trillian, but in Miranda it is part of the "isee" plugin.
Again, I'd love to see this feature on the Mac and not to have to use something like Virtual PC.
